Signing up to an event

Using the rate module it would be rather easy for a member to sign up for an event.
well it would be if we could change the wording from "rate" to "sign up"

which then leads to…..

Displaying-members-signed-up

And why is the rating not allowed per category y09: ?

1.) nHow can I insert the rating module (or over _template? ) on one of my events?
2) I have seen on one of pieters blog…. or whatever of these hundrets sites on the left side bar a collectin like

• 22 has rated this up: xyzz
• 17 …
• 9 …

I think it was the needed list… same technic?
He did it with:

Top needs ([/weneed:_start See all])
[[div style="font-size:90%"]]
[[module ListPages category="weneed" limit="7" tags="-_done" separate="no" order="ratingDesc"]]
  [%%link%% %%rating%% of us say] //"%%title%%!!"//

for the signing up of one event:

• Why we do not use (in the "_templates" ) a create a new page button - with or without any text of the member of the site who wants to sign up to one event: This new page button makes clear that the event page is the PARENT of every single "signing up" page of a visitor.
• over childs / paretning we than can show the attendies of an event ofer their "username" ( author) ini a listpages module.

Not using teh rating module….

Is this possible?
